Refund and cancellation policy
Effective June 24, 2026
Frontend development reserves production time and creates custom work that generally cannot be resold. Refunds therefore depend on when cancellation occurs and how much approved work has been completed.
Before work begins
If Design Coded has not started work and the reserved start date is more than two business days away, the deposit may be refunded minus non-refundable payment processing fees.
After work begins
Once work begins, the deposit is non-refundable. If the value of completed approved work is lower than later payments received, any unearned amount above the deposit may be refunded after completed work and committed costs are calculated.
Design Coded cancellation
If Design Coded cannot complete the agreed scope for reasons not caused by the client, payments for undelivered work will be refunded. The client will receive any usable work already paid for.
Scope disagreements
Issues that fall within the approved scope should first be handled through the included revision process. A change of preference, new design direction or request outside the approved scope is not grounds for a refund.
How to request cancellation
Email hello@designcoded.com with the project name and reason for cancellation. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible; provider processing times may vary.
